Dr. Bruce H. Kaplan is a board certified ophthalmologist who specializes in glaucoma and general ophthalmology. He attended Lake Forest College where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. After graduating Cum Laude from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine, he completed his internship in head and neck surgery, neurology, and internal medicine at the Mayo Clinic. He also completed his ophthalmology residency at the Mayo Clinic followed by a fellowship in glaucoma at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary.
He is currently the Chairman of Ophthalmology at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science where he lectures medical students. He is an Attending Surgeon at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital and has surgery privileges at Golf Surgical Center.
Dr. Kaplan is married to Dr. Wendi G. Marcus and has two sons Dr. Tyler M. Kaplan and Ryan A. Kaplan. In his free time, he enjoys weightlifting, boxing, cycling, yoga, music, theatre, and cooking. He is also an avid sports fan.
