Dr. Rudaitis, an Illinois native, graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in microbiology. She then attended the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. After graduation, she completed a post doctoral residency at the Illinois Eye Institute focused on primary and advanced eye care. For four years, she served as an Assistant Professor of Optometry, lecturing and training students in clinical optometry and medical management of ocular diseases. She then moved to private practice where she continues to treat patients of all ages with a broad range of ocular conditions. Her special interests include diagnosis and medical management of dry eye disease, eye problems associated with diabetes and macular degeneration, urgent eye care issues, post-operative eye care, and specialized contact lens fittings.
Dr. Rudaitis speaks fluent Lithuanian and participates in ethnic events in the city. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children. She likes sports, good food, and relaxing with friends.
